Before the 1992 Survivor Series, the WWF hyped the Ultimate Warrior being in the main event tag match, then he was pulled out like the week before. What happened to him and why didn't the WWF ever mention what happened ?
Ultimate Warrior, as he has done several times in his career, decided he agreed to less money than he deserved and held up the WWF for more money to participate on the event he had already agreed to participate on. As a result, the WWF let him walk rather than give in to his demands. The WWF made a suitable substitute in Curt Hennig, who was a big name who had not wrestled since SummerSlam '91 after dropping the Intercontinental Title to Bret Hart. His back injury recovered enough in the subsequent 15 months for him to return as an emergency replacement.
